Lolita Marchenko
Oboist
Lolita Marchenko is a Ukrainian oboist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Professor Melanie Ragge. Originally from Kropyvnytskyi, central Ukraine, she was awarded a regional scholarship during her studies at the Kropyvnytskyi Music College and has since been recognized as a prizewinner in both national and international competitions.
She has performed with ensembles such as the Lviv Organ Hall Orchestra and the K&K Philharmoniker “Da Capo,” and has appeared as a soloist in Lviv. A dedicated orchestral musician, Lolita is a current member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, with whom she has toured major European venues including the Berlin Philharmonie, Kölner Philharmonie, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Musiikkitalo (Helsinki), and the Auditorio Nacional de Música (Madrid).
In the UK, she has collaborated with the Ukrainian Cultural Association and has become an active chamber musician in London, performing at the Royal Academy of Music, St James’s Sussex Gardens, and other venues.
In addition to her musical career, Lolita holds a degree in law and maintains a strong interest in art history and international politics.
